About the Role
As an Account Executive, you will focus on developing sales across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg territories. The position is based in the Netherlands (Remote) or the United Kingdom (Hybrid). You will join a European sales team of 8 Account Executives, 4 Sales Engineers, and 2 Account Managers, and report to the Sales Manager, Northern Europe.
Responsibilities
- Handle the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, allocating roughly 50% of your week to prospecting activities and the other 50% to relationship building and closing deals.
- Understand and demonstrate the GitGuardian products to prospects, tailoring the presentation for high-level security professionals such as CISOs, CTOs, and VPs.
- Use modern sales tools to map, prospect, follow, and close accounts.
- Achieve and exceed your sales quota to drive GitGuardian’s European expansion.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Experience autonomously managing a complex B2B sales cycle with corporate or enterprise prospects (long cycles > 6 months, multiple stakeholders).
- Strong outbound skills for pipeline generation and ability to build business from scratch.
- Proficiency in sizing deals, assessing client needs with a strong methodology, and prioritising prospects.
- Experience selling software to developers, security, or DevOps engineers—understanding CI/CD and the software development lifecycle in large organisations.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn; you will receive training on the products and sales approach.
Preferred (Optional) Skills
- Knowledge of the DevSecOps or application security industry and its tools and value propositions.
