The Opportunity
Our Transport Team in Chesterfield have two exciting opportunities for Transport Coordinators to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract, where you will play a critical role at the centre of our Transport operation.
These roles are due to growth and we are looking for strong team players with excellent communication and customer services skills to ensure we deliver a best in class operation.
We are offering either fixed or rotational shifts dependant on preference where you will work 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Transport Shift Manager you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for drivers, managing briefs, debriefs, and resolving queries effectively.
- Ensure legal O-Licence compliance and deliver operational excellence across cost, service, and peak planning.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving and escalating live operational issues where required.
- Monitor route performance, ensuring timely delivery, processing supplier queries and escalating issues to the Team Manager when appropriate.
- Manage daily administrative tasks efficiently, including payroll, holidays, Kronos exceptions, and scheduling.
- Support admin and export, ensuring export compliance.
In addition, you will support the transport team with any additional tasks as and when required.
What we're looking for
To be successful in your application you will have proven transport administration or coordination experience, ideally gained within a busy transport or logistics operation. You will be a natural problem solver and communicator capable of building strong working relationships with drivers, sub-contractors and wider operations and comfortable using transport systems and MS office packages such as word and excel.

Salary: Up to £26,908pa
Hours: Monday to Friday either 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm (fixed or rotational shift)
