If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Network Planner to join our team, planning products through the Gist network for Marks & Spencer. This is a varied and rewarding role where your decisions will have a direct impact on service, efficiency, cost and sustainability across the UK transport network.

Reporting into a Network Team Leader you will be responsible for creating efficient transport plans that meet demanding service requirements while identifying opportunities to continually improve the network. You will:

• Use Paragon planning software to create efficient transport plans for depots and associated customers.
• Analyse plans to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
• Balance operational requirements with customer service and commercial objectives.
• Work closely with operational teams to implement new initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with depots, customers and colleagues across the UK.
• Think creatively and outside the box to overcome challenges and develop smarter transport solutions.

We are looking for someone who is motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. You will ideally have experience in transport planning or scheduling, but just as importantly, you will bring the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn. You will be:

• Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

It would be desirable, but not essential if you have experience of transport scheduling or transport planning with knowledge of the Working Time Directive (WTD) and Drivers' Hours regulations. Role details:

• Salary: Start on £30,000 per annum, this increases to £35,000 per annum after 2 years of service.
• Hours: 4 on 4 off shift, working 7am to 7pm.
• Location: Gist Ltd, Rosewood, Crockford Lane, Chineham Park, RG24 8UB.
