We are welcoming applications for full time, Primary Class 1 Drivers to join our operation in Hemel Maylands. Working 40 hours per week on a Thursday to Monday and Friday to Tuesday with start times between 12:00 and 15:00.

What will you do & what will you need?
You will work as part of a dedicated team delivering products from our Hemel Maylands depot to multiple sites where you will be involved with the customer, unloading and delivery of product. You will also work to collect products from our Suppliers and other Gist Depots to deliver these to our distribution centre. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that products are transported via single or double-deck trailers between our depots, warehouses and our customers safely whilst adhering to our Health & Safety regulations at all times. You’ll be out on the road but also working closely with colleagues and representing Gist to everyone you meet.
You’ll hold a class 1 licence with at least 18 months Class 1 driving experience. A maximum of 6 endorsements with no accidents in the last 12 months and no points for drinking or consuming illegal substances while driving. Manual handling of goods or multi-drop experience is highly desirable, along with a minimum of 3 CPC units.

Working with our colleagues in Hemel Retail Distribution we have a shared services transport operation with 62 dedicated Primary drivers, 22 units, 20 standard trailers and 10 double deck trailers.
