WHAT IS THE JOB?
As an intern, you’ll play an active role in supporting our team’s ongoing research, analysis, and project delivery. Your responsibilities may include:
- Drafting background briefs
- Organising training programmes
- Collecting and synthesising data
- Monitoring developments in regions of interest
- Contributing to written reports and presentations
You will gain firsthand insight into the dynamics of peacebuilding and international development, while building practical skills and networks for your future career.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Currently enrolled in or have recently completed a masters or doctorate degree or apprenticeship (level 7 or above) in History, political science, international development, security studies, or a related field OR Economics, international development, statistics, data science, engineering or a related field with a quantitative and IT background.
- Strong research and analysis skills of qualitative information OR Proven experience of quantitative analysis and statistical methods.
- Ability to perform estimations of relationships in data and predictive analysis using statistical and econometric techniques.
- Experience with one or several database or programming languages (Python, R, Stata, SQL/No-SQL or similar).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
