Location: Remote (must be able to work to East and Central Africa time zones, with around 10% of time on project sites)

About This Talent Pool
We are creating a Project Manager talent pool for upcoming and anticipated work in East and Central Africa, notably Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A LIVE VACANCY but an opportunity to register your interest in future Project Manager roles within our organisation. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and suitable candidates may be contacted as new projects are confirmed.
About the role
- End-to-end project management, from mobilisation to close-out
- Day-to-day coordination of technical advisory teams and consultants
- Budget oversight, financial forecasting and value-for-money monitoring
- Risk management, including maintaining risk registers and liaising with security teams
- Donor and stakeholder engagement, including regular client communication
- Oversight of monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting requirements
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and people management where required
- Contributing to organisational learning and future opportunities
About you
- Experience in project management within the aid, security and/or development sectors
- Experience managing projects funded by bilateral or multilateral donors (e.g. FCDO, EU, UN agencies, World Bank, USG)
- Strong budgeting, financial management and risk management skills
- Confidence working with diverse, multi-national teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
- Comfort working remotely across time zones and travelling to field locations
- Strong IT skills, particularly across MS 365, including Excel
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in regional languages is a bonus
