The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Location: Remote (must be able to work to East and Central Africa time zones, with around 10% of time on project sites).

About This Talent Pool

We are creating a Project Manager talent pool for upcoming and anticipated work in East and Central Africa, notably Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A LIVE VACANCY but an opportunity to register your interest in future Project Manager roles within our organisation. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and suitable candidates may be contacted as new projects are confirmed.

About the role

  • End-to-end project management, from mobilisation to close-out.
  • Day-to-day coordination of technical advisory teams and consultants.
  • Budget oversight, financial forecasting and value-for-money monitoring.
  • Risk management, including maintaining risk registers and liaising with security teams.
  • Donor and stakeholder engagement, including regular client communication.
  • Oversight of monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting requirements.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and people management where required.
  • Contributing to organisational learning and future opportunities.

About you

We are keen to hear from Project Managers who bring strong technical capability and the ability to operate flexibly in complex environments.

  • Experience in project management within the aid, security and/or development sectors.
  • Experience managing projects funded by bilateral or multilateral donors (e.g. FCDO, EU, UN agencies, World Bank).
