As a Transport Coordinator- Team Leader you will play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S products. Our operation in Portbury is looking for candidates who can commit to a 40 hour week, working a Monday- Friday shift pattern between the hours of 09:00-17:00.

What will you do & what will you need?

As part of your role you will brief and debrief Drivers, being the first point of contact for all drivers and ensuring all queries are resolved. Be accountable for Legal o-license compliance and for Operational excellence i.e. cost and service including Peak planning/delivery. Provide the highest level of customer care and finding resolutions/escalation of live issues. The monitoring of all routes ensuring all routes are running on time acting as the first escalation point to our driving team. Effective time management to ensure the job is completed within the set time frame provided using Kronos exceptions & Schedules. Conduct Daily administration tasks in relation to payroll systems, payroll queries holidays etc.

Other tasks and skills required:

  • Service trailers - Ensuring all assets are in control with agreed plans and then locked down by the end of the week
  • Resourcing - Responsible for planning and allocating drivers to the following days routes
  • Communication - Providing accurate ETA's to depots for all vehicles carrying live product, using systems Microlise and MOS to check ETA's and Microlise (reporting) - Supporting the management team in aligning drivers to M&S / Gist targets (improving overall site score)

Ideally, you will have experience of administration in a busy transport environment, be PC literate with word and excel experience and have great attention to detail.
