From day one, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently, maintaining the facilities, infrastructure and engineering assets that support a fast‑paced logistics environment. As a Site Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across the site, ensuring our facilities and equipment remain safe, compliant and operational.
Responsibilities
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance across site facilities and engineering assets.
- Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and carrying out effective repairs.
- Diagnosing faults and delivering first‑time fixes wherever possible.
- Maintaining building services and site infrastructure to the highest standards.
- Carrying out inspections to ensure the site remains safe, compliant and operational.
- Acting as the site’s Legionella Responsible Person, ensuring water systems meet statutory requirements.
- Supporting refrigeration systems and general building services maintenance.
- Completing engineering documentation accurately using maintenance management systems.
- Working safely in line with engineering procedures, legislation and company policies.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Qualifications
- Experience within facilities engineering, industrial maintenance or building services.
- A practical, hands‑on approach with excellent fault‑finding skills.
- Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
- A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- The ability to prioritise workloads within a fast‑moving operational environment.
- A proactive approach to health, safety and compliance.
- Experience working within a unionised environment (advantageous).
