We are looking for aFull Time Transport Shift Managerto join our team in Milton Keynes. As aTransport Shift Manager,you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the day to day transport operations at the site, ensuring the operation is running smoothly, and supporting the Transport Operation Manager with a variety of tasks that add value to the operation.

Salary:Up to £41,800 per annum

Working pattern:5 from 7 – Tuesday to Saturday

What you’ll do:
- Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency and subcontractors
- Own the recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings &121s process, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations within the transport department
- Ensuring effective communication within the transport teams through meetings and briefings
- Responsible for delivery of operational KPIs. Maintain and improve performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI\’s

- Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of a transport function within the FMCG Distribution Industry
- A background operating at a management level is a must
- A passion for encouraging teamwork, focusing on creating an innovative culture where all employees can voice their suggestions and ideas
- Excellent team management skill for developing you team
- An analytical mind-set
- Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns in the future
- You\’ll come in to contact with Trade Unions (previous experience with this would be beneficial
