Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift pattern: Thursday to Monday

Start Times: 1 x 08:00 to 18:00 & 1 x 18:00 to 04:00

Pay: £18.3032 per hour + any premiums, £21.9639 per hour Saturday & Sunday days / £23.7942 per hour Saturday & Sunday nights

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the organisation of vehicles and management of the yard and assisting with any yard / trailer queries. This is a hands-on job that involves some manual handling.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles are put on door in a timely manner for loading and tipping and that equipment is clean and correctly prepared for loading
  • Communicate clearly between site departments
  • Complete pre-loading checks prior to putting the trailer on a bay, including: defects, service / MOT requirements
  • Carry out full yard checks, completing required documentation
  • Direct incoming equipment and vehicles to the correct parking / loading area(s)
  • Follow current VOR process, liaising with relevant personnel where necessary, and isolate defective equipment

What You’ll Need

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with at least 18 months experience
  • Maximum 6 penalty points – no DD/DR endorsements
  • Comfortable with manual handling and multi-drop
  • Minimum of 3 CPC modules completed

About the Site

Our Cumbernauld depot has been proudly supporting M&S since 1971, with a 222,000 sq ft warehouse and over 450 teammates on site. We offer free parking and have public transport nearby (10-minute walk).
