We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in Chesterfield. As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the transport function, ensuring the efficient and cost‐effective fulfilment of all customer requirements.

Role Details
Salary: Circa £65,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working pattern: Monday – Friday with flexibility to meet the business needs

Location: Gist Chesterfield, S43 3FG

What You\’ll Do

You will plan and deliver all operations transport activities through your team of Transport Shift Managers, to ensure the required level of service is provided

Effectively motivate, manage and inspire your team to develop and grow their skills

Drive continuous improvement within the operation

Provide inspirational leadership to your team and work in partnership with M&S & our customers to ensure productivity, accuracy and cost targets are met and exceeded

Who You Are

Experience of working in a large, complex transport function – ideally within temperature‐controlled/FMCG distribution

A passion for encouraging teamwork, with an innovative approach to leadership

CPC licence

Excellent customer‐relationship building skills

Strong commercial awareness

An analytical mindset with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics

Relevant transport management systems knowledge

Flexibility to work within a fast‐paced 24/7 business
