Gisela Graham Ltd has a Europe-wide reputation for the charm and originality of its seasonal – Christmas and Easter – designs (www.giselagraham.co.uk). As we grow and extend our ranges, we need an additional colleague to support our Product Development and Purchasing team.
Our Product Development and Purchasing team is responsible for designing and developing over 1000 new and inspirational seasonal products each year, across 25 collections. More than 70% of our designs start life in our in-house studio, the remainder being developed by our team in conjunction with selected international partners.
The role of Junior Product Development Coordinator involves the co-ordination and administration of many aspects of our product and purchasing activities including: supporting product development projects, managing and administrating sample workflows, ordering, receiving and checking prototype samples, specifying and overseeing packaging and labelling requirements and maintaining critical product information data across 200 suppliers, as well as working with our art department in the development and fine-tuning of artwork and briefing to suppliers.
The candidate we are seeking will be highly organized with an eye for detail. A natural multi-tasker, they will be able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in an ever-changing environment. They will have an aesthetic eye and natural sensitivity to our design values.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (2.1 minimum) and will already have experience of coordinating projects and workflows in a comparable creative environment. A background in textile design, fashion or the creative industries would be advantageous.
