Overview
We are currently seeking to fill the position of Database and Office Administrator.

Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Database and Office Administrator to join the Schools on a permanent, part-time basis. The position is available for an immediate start (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks).
The role is part-time, working 20 hours per week, across a four-day working pattern with a pro-rated salary of £15,531. The pro-rated annual holiday leave entitlement is 16.5 days, plus 10 days statutory holiday at Christmas and Easter, when the schools are closed. This is a hybrid working position, with a minimum of two days required to work in the office.
Responsibilities
- Support the engagement of the ESMS wider community (parents, alumni, staff and friends) and keep them connected to the family of Schools as they are today.
- Manage a series of database projects to maintain and standardise data and implement new features to improve efficiencies and data availability within the database for queries.
- Carry out other administrative responsibilities including merchandise management, diary management, event administration and support to the team and Director of Development as required.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have previous experience of providing database administration and administrative support in a busy office environment.
- They will be able to multi-task and prioritise their own workload with good attention to detail.
Work environment and requirements
The Development Office is a busy environment, and all members of the team are required to use their initiative, dealing with email and phone enquiries from former pupils, staff and parents, current staff, parents and members of the public.
ESMS is unable to sponsor international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
