- Teaching Music across Key Stages 3-5.
- Acting as a form tutor.
- Organising and leading extra-curricular ensembles, performances, concerts, and other musical activities.
- Contributing to the continued development of the Music curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Supporting the department's extensive programme of concerts, workshops, trips, and collaborative productions.
- Working closely with our team of peripatetic instrumental and vocal teachers to support students' musical development.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and promoting participation and excellence in music.
The successful candidate will
- Be a qualified teacher with a proven track record of successful Music teaching.
- Demonstrate excellent musicianship and strong subject knowledge across performing, composing, and listening.
- Show evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to educational excellence.
- Have an awareness and understanding of curriculum development and assessment in Music, including the Edexcel GCSE and A-Level specifications.
- Be passionate about fostering creativity, performance, leadership, and collaboration through music.
- Have the enthusiasm and organisational skills to contribute to the department's extensive extra-curricular programme.
