The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the school's IT infrastructure. Delivery will support the effective and efficient day-to-day activities of students, teachers and administrative staff.
What skills and experience you'll bring to the role:
- Proven experience of delivering customer focused IT service
- Strong technical understanding of IT systems
- Experience of first line support to end-users
- Experience (or demonstrated understanding) with IT service desk tools and ticketing systems to accurately log, track, and resolve user support requests
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and network systems
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good judgment in determining when to independently troubleshoot and persevere through technical issues, versus when to escalate complex or time-sensitive problems to senior IT staff
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Familiarity with educational context desirable
