We are seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a long-term civils water project, based in Bournemouth. This is an office-based role, working within an established commercial team to support delivery of key water infrastructure schemes under a framework agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee commercial management of civils water works packages.
- Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and compensation events.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow across multiple projects.
- Lead subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and payment processes.
- Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management and framework client.
- Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements and company procedures.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure successful delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civils and water projects (essential).
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
- Excellent commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to commit to an office-based role in Bournemouth.
- Previous framework experience advantageous.
