A growing engineering design team is seeking a Civil Engineer to deliver high quality design services for a range of engineering and turnkey water projects. This role involves producing coordinated, safe and cost-effective designs while supporting the continuous improvement of internal design processes. Hybrid working is available. You will report to the Principal Civil Engineer and work closely with internal and external disciplines to ensure well integrated project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce civil engineering design layouts that are efficient, safe and compliant.
- Prepare design documents, drawings and technical outputs.
- Ensure designs are coordinated with all relevant disciplines.
- Contribute technical input and estimates to support bid and proposal activity.
- Follow established procedures and assist with updating and improving them.
- Support the development of design processes and departmental workflow.
- Ensure all designs consider health and safety requirements.
- Incorporate environmental considerations into all design stages.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Work collaboratively to support a positive customer focused culture.
About You
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment principles.
- Minimum HND in an engineering discipline.
- A relevant degree is preferred.
- Ability to rationalise designs and develop economical layout solutions.
- Ability to present technical proposals clearly and confidently.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to handle varied data inputs.
- Good computer literacy.
