An opening has arisen for an experienced Principal / Associate level Structural Engineer to join this busy multi-disciplinary consultancy in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the reins and really grow, direct, and shape the in-house Structural Engineering team. As such, there is ample opportunity for rapid career progression and professional development. This role would suit an experienced Principal Engineer looking for a step up and a new challenge.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Associate Director, you will use your in depth knowledge and experience to spearhead projects and ensure exceptional standards are maintained throughout, as a skilled Associate Structural Engineer.
  • You will liaise with other offices and departments both internally and across the UK.
  • You will also have the confidence to grow, develop, and manage your own team and help shape the structural engineering department with support from the Associate Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Hold appropriate accreditation (i.e. IStructE or ICE)
  • Chartered status or actively working towards chartership
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla
  • A demonstrable and relevant work history
  • Excellent communication, numerical, and report writing skills
  • Full clean driver’s license
  • Be based in Exeter or willing to commute

Primarily, the company carry out traditional JCT contract work, meaning projects are overseen from feasibility stage right through to completion. What’s more, with multiple disciplines in-house to ensure projects are managed optimally, there is a fantastic team dynamic within their exceptional Exeter offices, complete with on-site parking.
