The Opportunity

They’re searching for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to bolster their Exeter team — someone who thrives on responsibility, loves variety and wants to lead high-impact projects from initial concept through to handover. You’ll take the reins on project delivery, client interaction and team coordination, including:

  • Leading, coordinating and delegating work across project teams
  • Owning project reporting and managing performance against budgets and timelines
  • Updating project schedules and reporting progress, risks and actions to clients
  • Preparing site assessments, due-diligence reports, cost and construction reports
  • Managing design development and approvals throughout planning and construction
  • Running review meetings with contractors to drive quality, progress and safety
  • Preparing scope, tender documentation, bills of quantities and guidelines
  • Overseeing contractors and inspecting works through to completion
  • Supporting annual budget planning and capital/expense requirements
  • Ensuring licenses, consents and approvals are secured on time
  • Managing fees, invoices, aged debt and financial control processes
  • Monitoring sub-consultants’ performance and authorising payments
  • Maintaining gold-standard communication with clients throughout

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong Construction Consultancy background, plus:

  • A relevant technical/project management qualification
  • At least three years’ experience delivering construction projects (multi-site retail experience advantageous)
  • Solid knowledge of civil, mechanical and electrical systems
  • A passion for project management and a drive to progress your career
  • Strong writing skills and confidence reading drawings/tenders
  • Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Organised, proactive, commercially aware and laser-focused on quality
  • A genuine team player with a positive, diplomatic and personable approach
