The Opportunity
They’re searching for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to bolster their Exeter team — someone who thrives on responsibility, loves variety and wants to lead high-impact projects from initial concept through to handover. You’ll take the reins on project delivery, client interaction and team coordination, including:
- Leading, coordinating and delegating work across project teams
- Owning project reporting and managing performance against budgets and timelines
- Updating project schedules and reporting progress, risks and actions to clients
- Preparing site assessments, due-diligence reports, cost and construction reports
- Managing design development and approvals throughout planning and construction
- Running review meetings with contractors to drive quality, progress and safety
- Preparing scope, tender documentation, bills of quantities and guidelines
- Overseeing contractors and inspecting works through to completion
- Supporting annual budget planning and capital/expense requirements
- Ensuring licenses, consents and approvals are secured on time
- Managing fees, invoices, aged debt and financial control processes
- Monitoring sub-consultants’ performance and authorising payments
- Maintaining gold-standard communication with clients throughout

The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong Construction Consultancy background, plus:
- A relevant technical/project management qualification
- At least three years’ experience delivering construction projects (multi-site retail experience advantageous)
- Solid knowledge of civil, mechanical and electrical systems
- A passion for project management and a drive to progress your career
- Strong writing skills and confidence reading drawings/tenders
- Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Organised, proactive, commercially aware and laser-focused on quality
- A genuine team player with a positive, diplomatic and personable approach
