This is proper engineering. Massive concrete structures, complex temporary works, heavy foundations and challenging construction sequences. The sort of project that looks fantastic on your CV and gives you the opportunity to make a genuine impact. And with work secured until 2029, you won't be wondering where your next contract is coming from.

- Heavy foundations, retaining walls and reinforced bases
- Complex formwork, falsework and reinforcement packages
- Deep drainage and associated infrastructure
- Earthworks and temporary works
You'll be responsible for coordinating day-to-day engineering activities, managing two-week lookahead programmes, overseeing QA and ITP compliance, attending progress meetings and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety. You'll also provide guidance and support to Site Engineers, helping to keep the engineering team organised and the works moving.
Who Are We Looking For?
We're interested in speaking with experienced Section Engineers or capable Site Engineers ready to make the step up. You'll ideally have a background in reinforced concrete and heavy civil engineering, whether that's major infrastructure, nuclear, water, bridges or large structural projects.
You'll need:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
- Solid experience delivering reinforced concrete and heavy civils works
- The confidence to manage engineering activities and coordinate site teams
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
- To be based within approximately one hour of Bridgwater
What's in It for You?
- £390 per day PAYE, including holiday pay
- Contract secured through to 2029
- A major, nationally significant infrastructure project
- Technically interesting, large-scale reinforced concrete works
- All engineering equipment and site tools supplied
- The opportunity to build your experience on a flagship UK project
