The Opportunity We’re searching for an exceptional Quantity Surveyor from a consultancy (PQS) background to join a specialist, high-end firm of Surveyors in Exeter. This isn’t your typical PQS role. You’ll be working on jaw-dropping, ultra–high-net-worth residential projects across Devon and Cornwall — unique builds in spectacular coastal and countryside locations. With project values typically ranging from £3m to £10m, each scheme offers the chance to shape something truly one-of-a-kind. From day one, you’ll be at the heart of the client journey — collaborating with leading Architects, Engineers and Designers to turn ambitious visions into extraordinary homes. Key Responsibilities You’ll play a pivotal role across all pre- and post-contract commercial stages, including: Cost Planning & Budgeting Tender Management Cost Control & Financial Reporting Valuations & Payments Identifying commercial risks and developing mitigation strategies Advising on contract terms, variations and disputes Value Engineering Cost–benefit analysis and financial viability assessments This is a role where detail matters, relationships matter — and quality is everything. The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who brings: A degree in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline) Consultancy (PQS) experience as a Quantity Surveyor Experience delivering projects in the £3m–£5m range Confidence working closely with high-net-worth clients and design teams A personable, polished, client-facing approach Based near Exeter or looking to relocate to the South West If you take pride in exceptional work and enjoy the craft of high-end residential delivery, you’ll thrive here.
