We’re recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to join a flagship civil engineering scheme in Britain’s Ocean City. This is a long-term, high-profile infrastructure project delivering complex marine and reinforced concrete works. It’s technically demanding, highly visible and professionally rewarding. Our client is a respected civil engineering contractor delivering complex schemes across the marine, water, environmental infrastructure and energy sectors. They are known for quality-led delivery, technical strength and repeat work with major public and private sector clients. You’ll be joining a project team that takes pride in getting it right.
As Site Engineer, you’ll be based on site supporting delivery across major work sections, working closely with Senior Engineers, management and subcontractors. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting out and surveying works
- Monitoring and recording progress
- Supporting quality assurance processes
- Checking works against drawings and specifications
- Assisting with RAMS preparation and review
- Coordinating subcontractors on site
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
- Supporting safe systems of work and H&S compliance
- Contributing to technical problem-solving on complex RC and marine works
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the thick of delivery.
We’re looking for a Site Engineer with experience on large-scale civil engineering projects. You’ll bring:
- Local to Plymouth
- Experience working as a Site Engineer on major civils schemes
- Exposure to reinforced concrete structures
- Marine or infrastructure experience desirable
- Strong understanding of setting out and quality controls
- Clear communication skills
- HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Ability to achieve SC Security Clearance
