Safety manager - LondonVacancy Type: Permanent/Full TimeLocation: London with hybrid working / and supporting flexible workingClosing Date: :59:00We’re looking for a confident and collaborative leader to manage and shape Girlguiding’s approach to activity health and safety in all Girlguiding’s activities for girls, this includes adventure, events, local and international travel, venues and local Girlguiding properties.This role is about more than technical expertise. It’s about leading a newly formed team, building strong relationships across the organisation, and ensuring that our safety culture is embedded and understood at every level. You’ll guide strategic and operational priorities, support others to deliver them, and ensure that our practices remain aligned with current and emerging legislation and best practice.Key responsibilities includeLeading and developing a team to deliver improvements in activity health and safetyBuilding shared understanding and ownership of safety practices across staff and volunteers in UK country and region teamsOverseeing investigations into incidents and near misses, ensuring learning is captured and sharedWorking closely with internal and external partners to ensure Girlguiding remains compliant and forward-thinking in its approach to health, safety and welfareWe’re looking for someone with a professional qualification and/or relevant experience in implementing health and safety systems and strategy.
