We are Giraffe Cleaning Company, a cleaning company based in Warrington Cheshire providing cleaning services to the construction and fit-out industry, and to our commercial clients. We work in and around the North West.
We are looking for an experienced cleaning team leader who can lead our cleaning teams and play a key role in our daily operations. The experienced cleaning team leader will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of our cleaning projects. Working closely with the cleaning manager, site supervisors, clients, and cleaning operatives, you will help coordinate labour, schedules, health and safety compliance, and project delivery to ensure high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the planning and scheduling of construction cleaning projects.
- Approximately 70% site-based, travelling to various sites.
- This role involves regular visits to our site-based cleaning teams, with the remainder of time spent in the office supporting planning, reporting, compliance and coordination.
- Candidates should be comfortable working independently and collaborating with colleagues in the office.
- Requires a high degree of flexibility to ensure the effectiveness of the company business.
- Coordinate cleaning operatives and site supervisors across multiple sites.
- Monitor stock, equipment and plant.
- Assist with recruitment & onboarding.
- Ensure site documentation, Tool box talks, and compliance paperwork are up to date, PAT Testing etc.
- Monitor project progress and provide operational updates to management.
- Offer support to the cleaning manager, site supervisors and team members.
- Essential: Previous experience in a team leader or similar role within the cleaning industry.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Valid CSCS card (or willing to obtain one, to gain access to site).
- Possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points and the right to work in the UK.
- Desirable: Knowledge of construction site procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Experience scheduling mobile workforces or managing labour allocation.
- Understanding of RAMS, site inductions, and compliance documentation.
- Competitive salary of £30,000 – £35,000 with company pension.
- 4.5 weeks holiday + 8 bank holidays (5 weeks after 1 year).

- This is a 37.5 hour 5 day working week but could be a 4 day week for the right candidate.
