The role involves providing short term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children referred for support through schools and clusters.
At GIPSIL our Counselling Team and Wellbeing Team work side by side under Community Health and Prevention, working together across schools and communities. The successful applicant will be one of 12 counsellors and will benefit from our team culture, supported by an experienced Counselling Manager and Senior Counsellor.
To support and promote team work, we offer a work space within our Community Health and Prevention Office. Here, we hold a library of resources to support your learning and development and have access to various rooms to enable the teams to come together for meetings, training and clinical supervisions regularly.
It\’s also really important to GIPSIL that we have a good working relationship with every school and you feel supported in your role, therefore we work closely with the clusters and individual schools to ensure you are embedded with the school team, everyone understands your role with school and that you have the appropriate space and technology within the school setting.
We cover BACP membership costs, provide regular training around specialist areas and offer additional benefits such as access to Simply Health providing a range of physical and mental health support from Counselling to Physiotherapy.
