We are hiring for Senior Commercial Officer (Site Operations)
Location: Thurso
Act as the primary commercial interface for leadership, bridging the gap between site operations and central commercial functions to ensure that 10-year strategies are operationally grounded and deliver measurable value.
Lead and develop a large, multidisciplinary team—including Procurement, Contract Management, and Quantity Surveying (QS) professionals—fostering a high-performance culture and enhancing commercial capability through mentoring.
Oversee robust sourcing, contract management, and category strategies that align with Public Contracting Regulations and NEC frameworks, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization.
Support the commercial execution of major infrastructure projects by managing complex supply chains, driving supplier innovation, and utilizing defined cost audits to maintain rigorous financial control.
Proactively identify and mitigate commercial, legal, and operational risks while leading the business through periods of transformation and ambiguity within a highly regulated governance framework.
Successful candidates must be willing for Drugs & Alcohol testing and a DBS check prior to their start date.
