We are hiring for Control Room Operator – (Incineration / Thermal Plant Operation)
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Manage and optimize the continuous, safe operation of incinerators, boilers, and auxiliary plant equipment utilizing specialized control room systems (SCADA/DCS) and hands-on monitoring.
Conduct rigorous, routine plant inspections to identify anomalies, perform first-line troubleshooting and mechanical fault resolution, and safely isolate equipment in preparation for scheduled engineering maintenance.
Strictly adhere to high-level security protocols and comprehensive COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) standards, ensuring the utmost care and compliance when handling classified, sensitive, or high-risk government materials.
Monitor, record, and ensure that all plant emissions and ash disposal processes strictly align with environmental legislation, hazardous waste regulations, and site permit conditions.
