I am hiring for Aviation Paint & Coatings Technician.
Location: Stafford, UK - Onsite
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Apply and restore specialist aviation coatings using pneumatic, airless, and electrostatic spray systems according to approved work instructions.
- Perform safety checks on breathing air systems and plant equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with statutory aviation regulations, quality standards, safety procedures, and occupational health requirements.
- Manage material storage, stock rotation, batch control, and proper disposal of expired materials and waste products.
- Measure and record VOC usage, spray bay environmental conditions, coating thickness, and paint viscosity.
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain legally auditable records and compliance paperwork.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Skilled in paint spraying equipment, shot-blasting booths, and plastic media cabinets.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation including degreasing, masking, sanding, filling, and pre-treatments.
- Experience in fiberglass repair and body filler work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
