I am hiring for Software Configuration/Change Engineer – (CI/CD/OctopusDeploy/Windows/Linux/Scripting)

Location: Manchester, UK 4–5 days onsite per week

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Configuration Management (SCM) Engineer to support application deployments and configuration management across Windows and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting and CI/CD expertise, with the ability to manage upgrades, enforce SCM processes, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute application deployments across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Work with CI/CD deployment tools (preferably OctopusDeploy).
• Develop automation scripts (preferably using PowerShell).
• Coordinate and perform software upgrades across multiple environments.
• Enforce and champion Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes.
• Collaborate independently and with teams; support out-of-hours work when required.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation.
