Gingham Nanny Agency is looking for a warm, experienced and emotionally intuitive Specialist Nanny to support a lovely family with twin boys aged 5.
The boys have experienced the very significant loss of their mother at a young age. They are doing well and have a stable routine, but the family would particularly welcome a nanny who has an understanding of childhood bereavement and parental loss, and who can provide consistent, sensitive support as the boys grow.
About the Role:
Location: Blackheath, London SE3
Days: Monday–Friday
Term-time hours: Approximately 3:30pm–7:30pm for school collection and after-school care
School holiday hours: Approximately 8:00am–7:00pm (Final working pattern is subject to discussion with the family)
Start: September 2026
Contract: Permanent | Live-out
The role will include:
- School collections
- Preparing meals for the children
- Bath and bedtime routines
- Homework support
- Planning fun, age-appropriate activities and outings
- Supporting routines and boundaries
- Child-related light household duties
- Keeping appropriate nanny records/daily notes
The boys particularly enjoy jigsaws, board games, imaginative play, hide-and-seek, aeroplanes, trains, swimming and outdoor activities.
The ideal nanny will be:
- Kind, caring and considerate
- Energetic and fun
- Emotionally sensitive and nurturing
- Confident supporting children who have experienced bereavement
- Happy to get involved in play, outings and homework
- Reliable and able to provide stability and consistency
- A non-smoker
A car is not essential, although having access to one could be beneficial for days out.
This is a very special opportunity for a nanny who understands that excellent childcare is not only about practical care, but also about providing security, warmth and emotional consistency during a child’s formative years.
Full training provided.
