Sous Chef Ideal Profile:

  • Confident leading a kitchen team and stepping up in the Head Chef's absence
  • Comfortable working to a 3 AA Rosette level or similar
  • Has a deep understanding of seasonal British ingredients and refined cooking techniques
  • Passionate about food presentation, consistency, and quality
  • Brings a calm, hands-on leadership style to support and mentor junior chefs
  • Organised, proactive, and always striving to exceed guest expectations

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
  • Leading service and maintaining kitchen standards during busy shifts
  • Contributing ideas and executing new dishes for seasonal menus
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene, safety, and compliance
  • Training, mentoring, and motivating junior team members
