Purpose of the Role
The Senior Care Coordinator (Quality & Compliance) is responsible for coordinating high-quality domiciliary care services while ensuring service users receive safe, effective and person-centred care. Working alongside the Registered Manager, the post holder will lead compliance monitoring, quality assurance, operational coordination and continuous improvement to ensure the service consistently meets CQC Fundamental Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate care packages, rotas and staffing to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Act as the main point of contact for service users, families, staff and professionals.
Undertake care plan reviews, risk assessments and quality monitoring visits.
Lead internal audits of care plans, MAR charts, staff files and electronic care records.
Support the Registered Manager in maintaining CQC inspection readiness.
Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and produce improvement action plans.
Ensure policies, procedures and GDPR requirements are followed consistently.
Support recruitment, induction, supervision and ongoing competency of care staff.
Maintain accurate records and produce compliance reports for management.
Utilise and manage the Electronic Care Management System to its full capacity to benefit the services users/the team and the organisation as a whole.
To lead and direct others to provide person-centered care and support to adults with a varying degree of needs including those with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health Challenges to promote independence/reablement/enablement/personal fulfillment.
To build a solid foundation of information and understanding of the company's services and abilities.
To have a flexible approach allowing for a 360 degree view of the role, the ability to wear many hats is required.

- To be part of the 24hr On-Call Rota to ensure 24/7 support to the team and service users.

- Support the Registered Manager with business continuity, occupancy growth and service development.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and industry best practices.
- Investigate and resolve complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide the link between the services users and the senior management team to ensure they are fully informed.
- Ensure all service user documentation is accurate, up to date and inspection-ready at all times.
- Support preparation for CQC inspections.
- Complete monthly compliance audits.
- Monitor outstanding actions until completion.
- Ensure all service user files remain inspection ready.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance.
- Review spot checks and observations.
- Analyse KPI trends.
Staff Supervision & Development:
- Support the recruitment, induction and training of care and support staff.
- Supervise, mentor and appraise team members to enhance their professional development.
- Monitor staff performance and adherence to care and support plans and policies.
- Strong knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards, Care Act 2014 and Health & Social Care legislation, Mental Capacity Act, GDPR, Safeguarding Adults & Children, Health & Safety, Medication Management.
- Experience as a Care Coordinator or Compliance Officer within domiciliary care.
- Experience using electronic care management and rostering systems.
- Excellent organisational, communication and audit skills.
- Knowledge of CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (or the new Single Assessment Framework)
Knowledge & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Minimum two years' experience in domiciliary care, including experience as a Care Coordinator or Senior Care Coordinator.
- Demonstrable experience supporting CQC compliance and quality assurance.
- Experience of electronic care management systems (CareLineLive, CM2000 or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
