Star Care UK Ltd is seeking experienced and dedicated CQC Registered Managers to lead our established Domiciliary Care service in Croydon and The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.

This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic and forward‑thinking leaders with a strong background in Home Care or Registered Nurses (NMC) with at least three years post‑qualification management experience.

Reporting directly to the Company Director the Registered Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations, compliance, staff management and strategic development of the service ensuring that we continue to deliver high‑quality person‑centred care to adults with varying needs including those with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of the domiciliary care service ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014, CQC standards and all relevant legislation.
  • Act as the Registered Manager line‑managing and motivating a large diverse team to deliver outstanding care.
  • Oversee care‑planning, risk management and quality assurance to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
  • Drive continuous improvement in policies, procedures and service‑delivery processes.
  • Build strong professional relationships with external stakeholders and represent the service as the face of the business.
  • Monitor the health and wellbeing needs of service users working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage and support staff through supervision, appraisals, training, coaching and rota planning.
  • Lead safe recruitment, onboarding and retention processes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth in collaboration with the Director.
  • Maintain effective communication systems and ensure robust record‑keeping and confidentiality.
  • Support contract implementation and maintain our status as a lead care provider.
  • Participate in the 24‑hour on‑call rota.
  • Manage devolved budgets and support financial oversight.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Leadership / Management or Registered Nurse with current NMC pin.
  • Proven leadership experience within Domiciliary Care services.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections and maintaining / raising quality ratings.
  • High level of computer literacy including competence with electronic care‑management systems, Excel and digital rostering / scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire large teams working with fairness, professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to remain calm, objective and solution‑focused.
  • Ability to work flexibly, multi‑task and adapt to the evolving needs of the service.
  • Commitment to person‑centred care, safeguarding dignity and promoting independence.
