Gilson Gray’s Conveyancing team are part of Gilson Gray’s continuously growing organisation. Gilson Gray LLP are a comprehensive law firm, offering expert legal, property and financial services. We support clients throughout their entire lifetime. The Conveyancing team have decades of experience in all types of transactions and can advise on every Conveyancing related situation. Based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, North Berwick, Lincoln and London we focus on ensuring we provide the highest level of advice and ongoing service to our clients. We are ambitious and have significantly grown the team over the course of the last year. We pride ourselves in looking after our clients personally and providing the utmost standard of service.

This role will be based in our Lincoln office. We also have home-based opportunities available.

We are looking to further strengthen our current team with the appointment of an experienced candidate. What makes this role special is hands-on experience from day one! You will be:

  • Communicating with clients on a daily basis, dealing with matters over the phone, email or in person
  • Updating branches and building relationships with our referrers
  • Updating and maintaining a case management system
  • All aspects of residential conveyancing including leasehold and freehold
  • Liaising with other parties’ solicitors, brokers and estate agents
  • Managing property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build and shared ownership transactions, remortgages and transfers of equity from inception until post completion
  • Updating clients on progress of matter
  • Checking mortgage offers and searches
  • Title checking and reporting to clients
  • Raising and signing off the enquiries
  • Maintaining and checking Due Diligence and Risk Assessments in line with the firms’ policies
  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering and data protection regulations
  • Exchanging contracts and completing the transaction
