Spa Therapist – Maternity Leave Cover Step into serenity at Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, where luxury meets nature in the heart of the Lake District. We're seeking a passionate, professional Spa Therapist to join our dedicated team on a fixed‐term Maternity Leave Cover contract for approximately nine months, starting 1 October 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work in one of the region's most tranquil and inspiring spa environments, with the possibility of extension or progression to a permanent position depending on operational needs and performance. You'll deliver exceptional treatments across our Spa Space, Jetty Spa, and private spa suites, each designed to offer guests a deeply personal, restorative experience. As an ESPA‐trained therapist, you will bring a refined, intuitive approach to wellness, ensuring every treatment reflects the highest standards of luxury and care. Your Role as Spa Therapist: Delivers a range of high-end treatments including ESPA‐inspired massages, facials, and body therapies with precision, care and confidence. Supports the spa team in creating a tranquil, welcoming environment. Contributes to the smooth running of the spa and guest experience. Maintains immaculate treatment rooms and upholds hygiene standards. Recognised qualifications in beauty therapy and massage (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). ESPA training or experience delivering ESPA protocols, treatments, or product recommendations. Experience in luxury hospitality or spa environments. Position: Part-Time (24 hours per week) | (9 Months from 1 October 2026) Salary: £12.80 - £13.80 per hour (equating to £26,624 - £28,704 per annum, pro rata to hours worked) Gratuities are allocated on a points basis, depending on development tiers. Although variable, average levels are projected as being from £234 to £526 per month (pro rata to hours worked).
