As a Hotel Assistant, you’ll help shape the calm, intuitive atmosphere that defines Gilpin Hotel and Lake House: warm, thoughtful, and quietly exceptional. Your Role as Hotel Assistant:
  • Coordinates and assists with the day’s rhythm across both properties, adapting to breakfast service, housekeeping movement, guest hosting, afternoon tea, spa schedules, and evening turndown. Ensure transitions are smooth and surroundings serene.
  • Carries out room resets, deep cleans, amenity replenishment, and public‑area presentation. Maintains immaculate standards that reflect Gilpin’s quiet‑luxury promise.
  • Supports food and beverage service across breakfast, afternoon tea, and private dining. Delivers warm, attentive service with confidence and charm.
  • Welcomes guests, guides arrivals, supports check‑ins, and offers thoughtful hosting throughout the stay. Anticipates needs, resolves issues discreetly, and creates a sense of genuine care.
  • Works closely with Housekeeping, Spa, Estates, and Front Office teams to uphold consistency, calm, and order across both the Gilpin Hotel and Lake House.
  • Assists with private events, celebrations, and exclusives, ensuring beautifully executed occasions with seamless coordination and heartfelt service.
  • Upholds Gilpin’s signature values of privacy, tranquillity, and understated elegance. Elevates the guest experience through thoughtful touches and impeccable presentation.

Salary: £26,624 Gratuities are allocated on a points basis, depending on development tiers. Although variable, average levels for this role is projected as being from £234 per month.

Hours: 40 per week
