Spa Therapist – Maternity Leave Cover* *Location:* Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, Windermere *Position:* Part-Time (16 hours per week) | (9 Months from 1 September 2026) *Salary:* £12.80 - £13.80 per hour (equating to £26,624 - £28,704 per annum, pro rata to hours worked) Gratuities are allocated on a points basis, depending on development tiers. Although variable, average levels are projected as being from £234 to £526 per month (pro rata to hours worked). We’re seeking a passionate, professional *Spa Therapist* to join our dedicated team on a *fixed‑term Maternity Leave Cover* contract for approximately *nine months*, starting *1 September 2026*. This role offers the opportunity to work in one of the region’s most tranquil and inspiring spa environments, with the possibility of extension or progression to a permanent position depending on operational needs and performance. You’ll deliver exceptional treatments across our *Spa Space*, *Jetty Spa*, and private *spa suites*, each designed to offer guests a deeply personal, restorative experience. As an *ESPA‑trained therapist*, you will bring a refined, intuitive approach to wellness, ensuring every treatment reflects the highest standards of luxury and care. *Your Role as Spa Therapist:* * Delivers a range of high-end treatments including ESPA‑inspired massages, facials, and body therapies with precision, care and confidence. * Supports the spa team in creating a tranquil, welcoming environment. * Contributes to the smooth running of the spa and guest experience. * Maintains immaculate treatment rooms and upholds hygiene standards. * Recognised qualifications in beauty therapy and massage (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). * ESPA training or experience delivering ESPA protocols, treatments, or product recommendations. * Experience in luxury hospitality or spa environments. * A calm, professional demeanour with a genuine passion for guest wellbeing. * Ongoing training and development opportunities. * Meals on shift, uniform, and generous gratuities. * You will become part of the Relais & Châteaux community, a global association of 580 exceptional hotels and restaurants united by a passion for the profession, the authenticity of human relations and the promotion of local traditions.
