You will work closely with our Executive Head Chef, Restaurant Manager, and Head Sommelier to offer suitable wine pairings for our restaurants, delighting our guests by helping them choose the best wine to complement their food. A Sommelier:

  • Possesses a professional, welcoming, and warm personality.
  • Works with the Head Sommelier and chefs to ensure our aperitifs, digestifs, and wines are aligned with our food and guest preferences.
  • Creates and updates the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Head Sommelier.
  • Understands guest expectations and manages their experience to encourage repeat visits.
  • Recommends food and wine pairings, advising guests on wines to suit their tastes and dishes.
  • Informs guests about different wine varieties and prices.
  • Ensures wines are served at the correct temperature and in proper glassware.
  • Serves water, aperitifs, digestifs, and wine; clears and replaces glassware as needed.
  • Manages the wine cellar, ensuring it is fully stocked and bottles are stored properly to maintain quality.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of clean glassware.
  • Updates waiting staff on available wines.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally, and concisely.
  • Identifies ways to improve sales or control costs.
  • Possesses WSET Level 2 or equivalent Sommelier qualifications.
  • Builds rapport with team, guests, and suppliers.
  • Works effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Trains waiting staff on available wines.
