Teaching Assistant Level 3: Gilnow Primary School
Salary: Grade E, SCP 11-17 £29,071 to £32,046 pro rata
Actual Salary: £23,651 to £26,071
Hours: 36 hours per week - term time only (fewer hours spread across 5 days would be considered for an exceptional candidate)
Temporary contract until 31st August 2027 in the first instance
Start Date: 5th November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter

Closing date: Friday 16th October at 9am

Post Details: The Governing Board of Gilnow Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly skilled, temporary Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience and knowledge of teaching in EYFS.

The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a strong and dedicated Early Years team
  • A good understanding of the needs of children in Early Years and the pedagogy of how young children develop and learn
  • The highest quality of teaching and learning that result in excellent progress for all children
  • A commitment to our inclusive and multi-cultural ethos
  • The ability to build strong professional relationships with children
  • High expectations of children’s learning, presentation and behaviour
  • How to identify learning gaps and help shape and deliver quality interventions
  • A hard working attitude and dedicated to meeting the needs of all of our children at all times
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area
