On behalf of our client, a UHNWI based in London, England, we have been retained to support them with a Personal Assistant search. This role will support this individual with both personal and business matters, primarily in England, with some crossover to Canada as well (no travel outside of England will be required for this role at this time). This role requires the right candidate to be comfortable switching between personal and corporate priorities.
While this is generally remote, we require someone to live relatively close to central London to meet with the Principal in person once a week and at other times on an as-needed basis.
This role requires a candidate who will exude confidentiality and discretion in their daily work. At the same time, this does not mean that we want someone who will be a staunch gatekeeper; rather, we need someone who will collaborate with the Principal, someone who is personable and warm, with a calm nature, is proactive and can integrate as seamlessly as possible into the Principal's life.
A highly organised (while not being rigid) individual who can manage the ins and outs of several properties and distil for the Principal what input they need to execute projects (both personal and business in nature) would be key to success in this role.
On a day-to-day basis, the candidate for this role will be handling much of the following:
- Manage the Principal's inbox and liaise directly with accountants, lawyers, banks, property agents, contractors and other contacts.
- Track bookkeeping/accounting requirements and ensure accountants have the documents and information they need.
- Coordinate contracts and follow-ups with lawyers and other professional advisers.
- Handle UK government administration and online forms on the Principal's behalf where legally permitted, including logging into relevant government and professional portals and helping complete required submissions.
- Manage bills, utilities, renewals, and authorised payments.
- Arrange and outsource appointments, cleaners, household services, moving logistics and other practical needs in London.
- Gather and organise documents across different companies, properties and personal matters.
- Help streamline and automate systems so less of this falls to the Principal to do manually.
- Track outstanding items and deadlines, and make sure things get completed from start to finish.
While this role is generally remote, it is only open to those who are legally able to work in England and can be in central London once a week for a few hours at a time.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, with a targeted base salary in the Β£80,000-Β£100,000 range.
Further to the base salary, there is a 10% fully discretionary bonus structure, 5 weeks of vacation, plus bank holidays.
This role has standard 9 am - 5 pm working hours; however, it requires someone comfortable occasionally taking a quick call or responding to an important text outside those hours, potentially into the evening around 8 pm β 9 pm when something genuinely needs attention.
A laptop and cell phone will be provided.
Any out-of-pocket expenses related to the role will be covered.
