We are recruiting for experienced Engineer Schedulers (Controllers) to work in our Head Office in Houghton Regis. The role is to lead a team of 5-6 trades people (roofers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers) and act as their main point of contact. Liaising with tenants, they raise property repair jobs and allocate to the correct trade. Communication, organisation and problem-solving are some of the key skills required for this role. Working in social housing reactive repairs is interesting, rewarding, varied and fast-paced. Our people are committed to providing the very best customer care and service to our clients. Main Responsibilities:
- Running daily schedules for team of 5-6 trade Operatives (electricians, plumbers, etc)
- Continually liaising with trade Operatives, tenants and clients (local authority or housing association) by phone, email and live chat regarding updates on repairs
- Arranging parts or materials for click/collect where not available from usual suppliers
- Logging multiple engineer work requests onto the in-house job management system and tracking each request through to completion

- Ability to multi-task to manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent resource planning and administration skills
- The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role scheduling routes and issuing jobs to engineers

This is a full-time office-based (not remote working) position. Our hours of work are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and this role requires working until 6pm and 1 Saturday or Sunday each month. Extra hours are paid at standard rate in addition to salary.
