We have been recognised as outstanding by Ofsted, who said, ‘Pupils thrive because of the high-quality teaching and care they receive’. Academic standards at Gillotts are both high and improving. If you enjoy working with children and feel you have the skills to communicate effectively and support and encourage young people with special educational needs and disabilities, this could be the role for you. As part of our dedicated Learning Support team, you will work one to one in lessons with a specific student with complex needs. You will also take the student out of lessons to support with any necessary interventions. There will also be a lunchtime duty for 30 minutes.

No experience necessary as full training will be given, however, experience of working in schools supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities would be an advantage. Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to relate to young people in a positive way is essential.

Gillotts aims to maximise achievement through effective and inspiring teaching and support to students, so if you share these values and would like to join this supportive, and high-achieving school, we’d like to hear from you.

Closing date for applications: 12 noon on Monday 29th June 2026. Interviews will be held on Friday 3rd July 2026.
