We're currently recruiting for a Residential Manager on behalf of a well-established residential care home based in Wheatley Hill, Durham. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to take the lead in a rewarding management role. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care, leading and developing a dedicated team, and creating a safe, supportive environment where residents can thrive. Working closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving quality improvements and supporting the continued success of the service. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential care home, ensuring high-quality care and support is delivered at all times * Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation * Develop, implement and monitor personalised care plans that promote dignity, independence and choice * Oversee medication management and ensure clinical procedures are followed appropriately * Lead, motivate and develop the care team to achieve exceptional standards of care * Manage recruitment, training, supervision and performance management processes * Coordinate staff rotas to ensure effective staffing levels and operational efficiency * Monitor budgets, occupancy levels and overall financial performance of the service * Support strategic decisions that contribute to the growth and reputation of the home * Build positive relationships with residents, families and external stakeholders * Liaise with local authorities, healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies * Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive culture throughout the home About You * Previous management experience within a residential care, nursing home or supported living environment * Strong leadership, communication and people management skills * Excellent knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and care sector regulations * Experience managing budgets and financial performance * Passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care * Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families and professionals * Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities * Committed to continuous professional development and service improvement * Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work towards it What's on Offer * £40,500 - £41,500 per annum * Permanent, full-time position * Opportunity to lead a respected residential care service * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Career development and ongoing professional training * The chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of residents and their families * Autonomy to influence service quality and operational success If you're an experienced Residential Manager with a passion for delivering outstanding care and leading high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.
