Gillespie Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded care provider to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse for a nursing home in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for a confident Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into leadership while remaining hands-on and clinically involved.

You’ll play a pivotal role in leading the nursing team, maintaining exceptional care standards and supporting residents to live with dignity, independence and purpose.

The role:

  • Leading and supporting the nursing team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision and guidance on shift
  • Overseeing care planning, medication management and clinical standards
  • Supporting staff induction, training and ongoing development
  • Ensuring compliance with NMC, CQC/CI standards and internal policies
  • Promoting a safe, positive and supportive environment for residents and staff
  • Balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical practice

2 days supernumerary time included within contracted hours.

Essential experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC PIN
  • Experience working in a nursing or care home setting
  • Confidence supporting and guiding nursing staff
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care
