We are currently recruiting for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our well‑established and highly regarded Private Client Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base, gain exposure to high‑quality and complex matters, and further develop your expertise within a specialist, forward‑thinking team.
The Role
Our Private Client work is broad and varied, reflecting the needs of our clients. You will advise on all aspects of private client law and related tax issues, with appropriate supervision on:
- Drafting Wills for a wide range of client needs
- Executry administration, including advising on complex and tax‑paying estates
- Tax planning, including Inheritance Tax and reliefs such as APR and BPR
- Trust creation and management, including technical trust law and asset protection advice
- Advising private clients on complex and contentious executry and trust matters
- Powers of Attorney and Guardianships
Skills & Experience
You will be someone who is keen to play an active role in the continued growth and success of our Private Client offering. You will:
- Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and support
- Enjoy working collaboratively on larger or more complex matters
- Contribute to the financial performance of the team by meeting agreed targets
- Have experience of, or an interest in, business development and marketing initiatives
This role will be suitable for candidates with 0-2 years’ PQE in a relevant area although candidates with different experience will also be considered. We offer a supportive learning environment, with tailored training and access to experienced practitioners for guidance on complex matters. This is a full‑time position however consideration will also be given to part time and flexible working.
