The Residential Property team at Gillespie Macandrew supports clients through every stage of selling and buying homes, combining local market insight with a proactive, client-focused service. Our Estate Agency has a strong presence in EH10, and we work with buyers and sellers across Edinburgh and beyond. We pride ourselves on offering friendly, professional and constructive advice, maintaining regular contact, and making the sales journey as straightforward as possible for our clients.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Front of House Property Sales Advisor to join our established Residential Property team based in Morningside, Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and new enquiries, helping to convert interest into instructions, supporting the Estate Agency team with day-to-day sales activity, and ensuring a consistently high standard of client care throughout the sales journey.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring all incoming enquiries are handled courteously and efficiently, capturing key information, booking appointments/viewings where appropriate, and directing matters to the relevant Partner or team member for follow-up.
  • Providing administrative and coordination support to the Residential team as required, including maintaining records, supporting marketing activity, and ensuring the front-of-house area remains welcoming and professional.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in and knowledge of the local property market and have experience of working in a similar role within a property services environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships both with internal and external parties.
  • A proactive self-starter, as well as an excellent team player.
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage a high and varied workload.
  • Ability to work in conjunction with the firm to achieve organisational goals.
  • Ability to re-focus aims and priorities to meet changing business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of BDP is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas is desirable.
