This is an important role in our developing Business Development & Marketing team, focused on growing our market voice, showcasing our professionals, communicating our four‑sector focus and positioning Gillespie Macandrew as a law firm of choice for talent in our industry.

As a central member of the marketing and business development team, you will work with sector and service colleagues to drive Gillespie Macandrew’s content strategy and themes of focus in our business to reinforce a GM values‑based culture. You will also work with colleagues to execute firmwide projects such as market research, communication campaigns, digital content development – including video, to support the business development and marketing objectives across the firm.

Some of the duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with multi‑channel communications, working closely with the business to develop the narrative, create supporting assets and share effectively to reach target audiences.
  • Create and deliver integrated campaigns that help build client relationships, support revenue objectives and enhance the reputation of our business.
  • Manage the production and execution of agreed projects measuring content performance, engagement and using insights to enhance and refine activity.
  • Support the BDM team to produce content for GM marketing and communications – including social media, photography, video, website and client and colleague facing e‑news publications.
  • Manage a proactive content calendar for GM, sourcing topics and co‑ordinating PR opportunities that match the needs of our target audiences.
  • Support BDM colleagues to set up and deliver creative briefs, client events and seminars.
  • Improve and maintain the accuracy of the firm’s marketing database to support targeted communications.
  • Co‑ordinate the BDM systems, procedures and memberships to support the efficient running of the team.

The role requires an organised, pro‑active, and confident team player with the ability to prioritise a high volume workload to an exceptional standard. The successful applicant will possess strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.

We are looking for a candidate with strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to edit and deliver content in a creative way offline/online. Relevant IT experience and skills are required including experience of working with Adobe creative suite and managing social media channels.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role within professional services or the legal sector. The role is full‑time based from our Edinburgh office although consideration will be given to part time and blended working that supports the BDM team and firm.
