The position is with a prestigious US Asset Manager who is looking to add a Technical Support Administrator to support their office in London. The Technical Support Administrator will provide hands-on support in a production environment. Candidates should be able to leverage technical knowledge and critical thinking skills to resolve IT support issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive technical support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop computing environment.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain and upgrade desktop hardware, software and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Support the Sr Infrastructure Engineer on firm-wide technical initiatives.
  • Provide quality support services requiring the ability to handle various problems with expertise and exceptional judgment while working with end-users.
  • Support desktop technology and desktop applications in Windows environments.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, mobile devices, printers and other applications.
  • Take ownership of supporting IT systems, post-implementation.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of progressive technical support experience required.
  • Experience supporting end-user technologies (i.e. Phones, iPads, Android based phones).
  • Understanding of Active Directory and group policies.
  • Knowledge of Windows 2012, Active Directory, VMWare, O365.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must as well as the ability to work well independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise strong technical and business judgment in mission critical IT support functions.
  • Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn a wide range of technologies.
  • Understanding of cyber security frameworks and guidelines.
  • Experience in working in a hedge fund, private equity or investment management firm is a plus.
