We're recruiting for an organised, proactive Procurement Administrator to join a busy manufacturing business in Witney. This is a hands-on role supporting purchasing activities and ensuring production teams have the components they need, when they need them.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring purchasing requirements are actioned promptly.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, chase orders and confirm delivery dates.
- Monitor overdue deliveries and proactively resolve supply issues.
- Work closely with Production, Stores and Quality teams to identify and resolve component shortages.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, MRP systems and Excel trackers.
- Manage manual ordering and Kanban systems while supporting the transition to more automated processes.
- Assist with supplier quality issues and replacement orders.
About You
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, buying or supply chain administration.
- Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, hands-on and confident communicating with suppliers.
- Good Excel skills and experience using an MRP/ERP system.
- Able to prioritise effectively and take ownership of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous, as would knowledge of Sage 50 or SAP Business One.
